Tommy Crawford is a New York-based actor, singer, musician, and songwriter. He graduated from Yale University in the spring of 2009. He spent a summer at the Williamstown Theater Festival. Upon coming to New York in the Fall of 2009, Tommy joined the Bats, the award-winning resident acting company of the Flea Theater. At the Flea, Tommy has appeared in New York and world premier plays by Nick Jones, A.R. Gurney, Sheila Callaghan, Sean Graney, and many others. In the fall of 2012, Tommy received his Equity card by appearing at The Flea in A.R. Gurney’s latest play, Heresy. Tommy has appeared in readings, workshops, and productions at numerous other New York and regional venues, including The Lark, NYTW, The Cell, Ars Nova, The Lion at Theater Row, The Invisible Dog, and Galapagos Art Space. Tommy has also composed for and music directed several projects, most recently helming the music for a reimagining of Frank Galati’s adaptation of The Grapes of Wrath at UCSD’s MFA Program at The La Jolla Playhouse.

Tommy plays music with a band he co-founded called The Lobbyists, an indie-rock/folk/country/bluegrass quintet based out of New York City. The Lobbyists formed in early 2012 and are comprised of current and former Bats. Check their facebook page for upcoming shows, photos, and more.
